Services Offered
Homework support
BTA tutors are available to students who require homework support and general academic mentoring. By checking in with a BTA tutor on an as needed or fixed (daily, bi-weekly, weekly, etc.) basis, students stay on track with their work and develop greater levels of accountability. Check-ins can made in person, via telephone, or online.

Study skills
BTA tutors work with students who need assistance with the development of better study skills. This includes help with planning, time perception, internal ordering, organization, and motivation.

Writing
Learning to write clearly and effectively requires instruction and practice. Many students, from middle school to graduate school, are never really taught how to write. Working with a BTA writing tutor introduces students to the rudiments of the writing process.

Test preparation
Test preparation tutoring is available for the following tests:
- ACT
- GRE
- GMAT
- LSAT
- MCAT
- MTEL

Language learning
BTA tutors offer 1 on 1 instruction in Arabic, Chinese, ESL, French, German, Hebrew, Hindi, Italian, Latin, Russian, Swahili, and many others languages.

Substitute teaching
The BTA helps public and private schools throughout the greater Boston area to find qualified substitute teachers for both expected leaves and last-minute teacher absences. All BTA substitute teachers are MTEL certified and have submitted to CHSB/CORI review.

Multilingual childcare
The BTA works with an established network of foreign language childcare professionals who are available for short and long-term assignments. Whether you are visiting Boston as a tourist for the weekend or living abroad in the United States for an extended period of time, the BTA provides safe and reliable childcare for multilingual families.
